Of course, I was fairly active, but it just didn’t appeal to me. It wasn’t till midway through 2013 that I decided to give it a crack. 3kms here and there. Every small achievement I felt duly proud of.
This week I reached a personal best with a 28 km run, and still feeling positive about continuing my path to becoming a long-term, long-distance runner. Now, I think about going on a long run, and nothing excites me more! It really is wonderful to keep discovering new things about yourself all the time. But this is just a post to say, you can’t really write something off till you’ve given it a fair go. And while it’s definitely not meant for everyone’s body type, something else will be! Painting, science, politics… yay.
Thank you so much to the lovely ladies at tumblrs like thefruitrunner1, iamnotover and snowpeasprout for inspiring me to give it a go! xx
Mediterranean salad lunch… Fresh tomatoes, cucumber, spring onions and coriander. Tossed over baby spinach and mixed through with quinoa. refreshing and derish!
Going Mexican, with spinach, salsa and fresh corn… I blended fresh and oil/salt free sundried tomatoes for my scrumptious tomato topping. Sprinkled with mustard powder and coriander. woop.
If I run the risk of eventually physically turning into a kiwi fruit, be that as it may.
last night’s pumpkin curry, finished off with a dot of coyo and fresh herbs.
